My desktop pic-tur

Well, I was tagged by dinglehoppers to post what my desktop wallpaper is. Well, since unlike her, my desktop is completely covered in icons, I'm just going to post a link to the picture -- I'm new to the picture posting thing, so I'm just going to post a link to her journal page with the picture on it:

HP pic-ture

It comes from the uber-talented buttfacemakani - I too did not ask permission to use as my desktop paper, but she says that you're allowed to use her stuff as long as you give her credit. PLEASE check some of her art out if you haven't seen it before and love Harry Potter. A-MaZ-inG. :)

I guess I'm supposed to tag some friends for this too -- so knifethrowastar , elledoll , and extramagichours take on the challenge ;)

Honest to blog?

I can't believe how long it's been since I've written. Geesh, and I promised myself that I wouldn't do that. Write on here every day is what I said. And yea, that didn't happen. Oh well. Weekend was fun. I did some dancing, made some money babysititng, and I bought a new computer! It's not here yet, but it's on it's way, should be here Wednesday. So of course I've been looking for practically everything for it. I have a laptop right now, and it's a desktop -- so I went out and got Microsoft Office which comes with OneNote which I am totally excited to use; and I picked up Photoshop Elements. And then I've just been looking online and dreaming of Adobe's Creative Suite -- maybe someday I'll get that. Mostly I just want Photoshop though. The Elements is just not going to cut it for me. So I'll make sure to take pictures and show everyone (who wants to see) what it looks like when it is set up. This room is so small, I'm going to have to rearrange to fit it in. :)

So I also caught up on some Tivo this weekend -- Rachael Ray had Julianne on, I think it was Thursday, and she did some cute dancing. Her video is kind of cheesy, but that's okay, because I totally have her song in my head (ha... cause it's called Song in my Head...and I really didn't mean to do that). And she's just an awesome dancer. So I'm sad she won't be on tomorrow's Dancing, but looking forward to more of that -- I love watching the routines. I'm rooting for Kristi/Mark or Jason/Edyta now. :)

I wonder what they'll be singing on Idol this week.... hmmm. No longer will have Reality Show Trifecta because Biggest Loser is off (wow, am I jealous that the girl who won weighs less than me, have to tell myself to work out, though, that helps). Although, a friend at work says I should watch the Chef show on Fox and maybe that will help my number of reality shows go back up.

I watched Juno again this weekend -- and it reminded me how much I absolutely love it and how cute it is.

Well, have to get some sleep - I'm tired. Work tomorrow (blah!)...I just keep thinking 5 more days until another weekend.

Idol Tonight

I just wanted to vent a bit about Idol

If you watched tonight --

Saiesha (sp?) Carly & Michael Johns.

Well, that okay, none of them are really my favs, but I was really displeased (well I just thought it was rude) the way they kicked Michael Johns off.

"Saeisha, Carly; you're safe....those of you who watched last year will know that we didn't eliminate anyone one Idol Gives back night, well this year -- we Are! Michael is going home!"

Well, okay, that wasn't the exact wording, but I thought they could have let the poor guy down easier. It was just like bye-bye, nice to know ya. Anyways, just my op-in-ion.

I am extremely glad Brooke wasn't in the bottom 3 -- so that makes me happy. Back to happiness I go...

Meme - meme -MeMe

Comment on this post and say YO BABY! I WANT TO DO THAT INTEREST MEME or something like that. I will choose seven interests from your profile and you will explain what they mean and why you are interested in them. Post this along with your answers in your own journal so that others can play along.

This is what dinglehoppers asked me:

1. architecture

Well Architecture is just interesting to me -- that's what I was originally majoring in; though I kinda am taking a break from school to make certain that it would be what I want to do before you know, spending mucho mucho dinero and lots and lots of hours on it. But building are pretty -- I especially like old churches (you know, like the Notre Dame Cathedral)

2. bursting out into song

Isn't it fun to pretend like you're in a musical? Well -- I love music, and I like musicals, and I wear my ipod around all day -- so you would find me bursting out into song in the middle of a really good number; though I've gotta keep it down and not so animated since the people I work with probably wouldn't enjoy my voice amplified

3. cooking

Cooking is fun -- and I love the food network (come to think of it, I probably should put that in my interests). I watch Martha, and Rachael Ray and Giada and Rocco and try to do the stuff myself; though I'm sure it doesn't taste anywhere near as good. But I guess I try and that's all that counts. My favorite thing to make is Italian foods -- mmm pasta and Chicken Parmesan

4. jj abrams

JJ Abrams -- aka Uber-god that is of Felicity, Alias & Lost craziness -- he's just an amazing writer, producer, etc. and that's why I love him. Can I mention how much I miss Alias here? What a kick-butt show and it had to go and go off the air (I mean, it probably was getting towards time.. but it doesn't stop me from loving it.). I'm going to go watch some old eps now...

5. rock climbing

I haven't really done rock climbing outdoors much, but there is a gym near me that does it. It's a great workout -- and when you are outdoors, it's so freeing and breathtaking (as long as the surroundings are nice to look at). It also give you fantastic muscles on your arms -- I like that.

6. super smash brothers

Best game EVER! It's so much fun to kick and punch and fly through the air -- I only have the gamecube version, but I want the wii version (now I just need a wii). I play usually with Zelda because she's a chick and she rocks. It's amazing how much your fingers can look misformed after playing a video game for hours into the night. hmmm..

7. the littles

And The Littles -- well this was a tv show and a movie when I was young (and surprisingly not a lot of people remember it). But there was a mouse family (the littles) and they lived in a house with a boy who was their friend -- and they got into mischief (well the two kids did) and it was such a great little show. It's based on books by...hmm... I should go look that up, but anyways, the books were good too.

Okie dokie, I'm done now. Yay! I actually wrote something interesting (well, maybe) in my journal

I'm so Happy -- DisneyWorld here I come (okay in Sept)

SO Free dining became available this morning for Disney Visa card holders for late Aug - Mid Sept to book. I got up and dialed right at the opening of the CRO, and was on hold for about 70 minutes to get through.

Tis okay though, because I got through! I'm booked for All Star-Movies for 6 nights (9/13-9/19) and 7 days -- with free, *****FREE*****, dining. I'm going with 3 of my bestest friends and we're so excited. I haven't been for 2 years, so I'm definitely wanting my Disney fix.

I can't wait, so excited, and I have too long to wait (come on September!). So now I'll have sweet dreams thinking of a lovely vacation.

Dancing is on...must go watch.

Night!

Lazy Lazy Me

Why am I always so lazy? So much stuff to do and all I did was lie around all day with the exception of my dance lesson. We worked on tango today, started the international style rather than American which I had worked on before. Also, did a little cha-cha and salsa. I wish I had better posture...my frame sucks. Oh well, practice practice.

I'm supposed to draw a picture for my friend's birthday of his dog. I have to get started on that too. I don't know why I don't draw more often. I really do love it, but just never seem to get around to it.

Watched Mulan today. It had been awhile, but I still love that movie (I mean, why would I stop loving that movie?).

I can't belive that March is already over -- well almost. Craziness! At least Spring is drawing near, I can't wait for this warmer weather.

I haven't really posted this week. I'm glad Julianne didn't get *let go* from dancing. I really do love watching her. I was watching some YouTube vids of her with Tony D. doing the waltz (2 different vids - one with Leann Rimes and one with Josh Groban). Awww.. SO Beautiful. I'm sorry to say, though, I don't think she'll get her tri-win this season. I'm really liking watching Kristi too -- she already has the grace and movement of a dancer, and it looks like she has the feet down now too. I was upset that Dan left Biggest Loser. All of my fav people are the ones that have left, but I guess the reason I like watching is seeing the amazing transformations everyone makes. One more reason to get off my lazy bum and do something. Idol was much better than last week (what was the point of TWO Beatles weeks again?). I think Brooke did an excellent job, but I think that David Cook did a really good job on Chris Cornell's rendition of MJ's "Billie Jean." It'll be interesting next week; though I'm not sure if they're bring in Dolly Parton on so the contestants can do songs she's written (which would provide A LOT of songs) or just country? Who knows...

Maybe I'll actually do some work tomorrow...hmmm. One more day of the weekend. I'll have to use it wisely.

Well, bedtime! Sweet dreams everyone!

Almost Dancin' time

So DWTS is almost on -- fun fun fun! So excited to see how everyone does. Hope everyone's Easter went well (if you celebrate the holiday -- if not, hope your Sunday was better than most other Sundays).

I ventured out yesterday and went to Whole Foods Market -- wow, I love that place! Despite that it's more expensive (well, it's green/environmentally friendly, so I guess I can get over the fact it costs more), it has so much more to offer. The variety of meats/seafood, types of nuts & coffee and all that jazz. And they even have a counter that has ready-made Gelato and Sorbet for sale (in my fav flavor of Pineapple no doubt). I'm getting excited over a grocery store -- but I likes it! =D I didn't buy much this time (first time ever), just some nice steak for cooking out yesterday. I was so happy to find some clear weather with all this rainy/snowy crap we've had. I gots to use the grill!

Watched Enchanted over the weekend again, along with I Am Legend. I'm trying to finish reading Atonement so I can watch the movie (wanted to finish the book first). Weekend was kind of lazy, feel bad about that. Hopefully I'll actually get more stuff done next weekend.

Well Dancing is about to start...

Reality Show Trifecta

Wow -- lots of reality tv tonight -- Biggest Loser, Dancing with the Stars and American Idol -- so much to watch! Dancing was good last night -- I really wish that Julianne's partner would have done a bit better -- but I think she'll stay in awhile because her fans will be behind her.

And to make tonight's entertainment even better -- Enchanted came out on DVD today! So, I'm off to eat dinner and watch me some Amy Adams & Patrick Dempsey fairy-tale lovin'.

The weekend is almost over

Sigh...work tomorrow. I'm so not looking forward to it, but I guess that's what happens when Monday comes around. Went to Cincinnati this weekend and saw Michael Buble in concert. So much fun! He really does put on a good show. Also saw The Other Boleyn Girl at the movies. That was also good -- but I think you really have to like the "period pieces" such as Pride & Prejudice and whatnot. I love those kind of movies (and even more the books they're based on).

We also went a conference "Speaking of Women's Health" where we gots so many wonderful goodies. I like free stuff! Okay --- I really really like free stuff!

Now I'm watching family channel and surfing livejournal to find me some friends. Oh how sad that I don't have any right now. =(

So I'm just exploring all the features -- added some new Userpics made from the Disney Tenyo puzzles (Japan has the best Disney puzzles -- they totally rock). I love pink & black, but I'm not sure how well these colors will mesh with other things. We'll see -- I love this layout though, so I guess that might just have to do.

Lots of work to do tonight -- and then off to Cincinnati for the weekend and a Michael Buble concert -- plus much time with the bestest friends in the world. :)
